A+iZinto, part of Africa A+Schools is a materials centre that collects, curates and displays discarded materials for creative teaching and learning. Based on the Reggio Emilia approach in which the REMIDA serves as an integral part of learning. The collection includes from household recyclables such as bottletops, plastic containers and lids, to wood flooring and carpet off-cuts and fabrics. The centre also collects unusual objects that invite inquiry, such as large plastic bobbins and heavy duty cardboard tubes. All contain creative possibilities!
