KWT June Trip 2023

The Africa A+ team completed their annual Teaching and Learning Survey at each of the 40 ECD centres participating in the Kouga Windfarm Trust ECD project. The purpose of the on-site survey is to document, monitor and evaluate progress (M&E). For the four new ECD centres who have recently joined the project the survey serves as a baseline against which future progress will be measured. For the 36 Cohort 1, 2 and 3 ECD centres who joined the project in 202, 2021 and 2022 respectively, the survey is a follow up visit.

The highlights were seeing teachers engaging meaningfully with the children, a variety of play-based learning activities set out for the children, children’s creative art, and free choice play with open-ended materials. Every learning opportunity counts.
