Africa A+ starts its second year on a high with six schools

Africa A+ Schools and six Cape Town schools spent a wonderful week with our USA partner, the Oklahoma A+ Schools. Rosalynn Wade, Cindy Scarberry and Glenda Cook from Oklahoma A+ co-facilitated the school’s professional development with the Africa A+ facilitators Kauthar Ebrahim, Sue Kaplan, Karen Stewart and Shumi Chimombe:

⦁ The 2016 returning Africa A+ schools, iThemba Pre-primary, ABC Pre-primary and Chameleon Campus, spent the 4 – 6th January together participating in three days of follow up professional development.

⦁ Rainbow ECD Centre, Fish Hoek Pre-primary and Gerards Educare, who have recently joined the Africa A+ Schools network, spent the 3 – 7th January together in five days of A+ professional development.

Behind the painting, music, dance and indigenous games lies a serious intent – how can schools nurture future-based skills and realise curriculum outcomes so that education is a joyous and meaningful experience that effectively prepares children for future success?
